Do you use Progressive Web Apps (PWAs)? If so, then there is positive news. Without much fanfare, YouTube can now be installed as a PWA via the Chrome browser. A little-noticed discussion was opened on Reddit and I was also able to spot the option in Chrome under Windows 10.
If you install the PWA for YouTube, you will receive a corresponding shortcut on the desktop and can therefore access the video platform faster – there is not much more to say about it. You can install YouTube as a PWA by calling up the YouTube website in Chrome and then selecting “Install YouTube” in the 3-point menu at the top right of the screen.
The process is done in seconds. You will then find the YouTube shortcut on your desktop – have fun!
