IFTTT announces paid subscriptions, but they do so in a special way. There is a fixed price per month, but users can initially decide for themselves how much they want to pay.
IFTTT Pro: paid account with more options
Many people have multiple paid accounts, for Netflix, Spotify, Strava, de Volkskrant and so on. IFTTT will have kept that in mind when they were devising their new revenue model. The company now also comes with a paid account for $10 a month. This account allows users to do more than the free account. IFTTT reports this via its blog.
The free variant allows you to create up to three Applets, but IFTTT Pro allows you to create more. In addition, Pro offers more advanced tools such as queries, conditional logic and performing multiple actions. The Applets also run much faster and Pro customers can take advantage of IFTTT’s customer service.
IFTTT (If This Then That) lets you automate all kinds of tasks by linking all kinds of apps, devices and services. For example, you can automatically add a reminder to Google Calendar when you miss a call or automatically turn off the WiFi connection on your phone when you leave home. All this takes place through Applets. That is a kind of recipe with ingredients that automates a task for you. IFTTT indicates that there are now more than 50 million IFTTT of these Applets worldwide.
Decide for yourself what you want to pay
If you think the $10 is too expensive, you can also go for a different amount. IFTTT itself suggests $3.99 or $5.99, but you can also enter an amount yourself, as long as it is more than $1.99. Unfortunately, determining the amount yourself is only valid for one year. After that, you will have to pay the standard amount. The monthly payment is made by credit card. You can sign up for an IFTTT Pro account here.
